Training on a Budget

So as you get into the sport you start to realize that it isn't cheap when you have to buy accessories for 3 sports! You buy a swim cap, some goggles, maybe a swimsuit to train in, maybe a new pair of running shoes, a water bottle, a race belt, helmet, biking shorts with the ever so lovely chami, and a BIKE!!! WOOO...so I receive the Active Triathlon newsletters and in it is an article called : 6 Ways to Maximize Training While Minimizing Costs.

Thought it might help to read just to get an idea on how to cut down on costs while you are having fun training.
Also some other links to view are You Tube or Active Triathlon website videos on swimming and transition areas. It helped me to have a visual of someone else swimming so i could try to picture them doing it and hope I was doing the same. And it is always helpful to have someone walk you through how to setup your transition area so you aren't freaking out trying to find your left sock when you already have it on and then you are running back to grab your race number (trust me it happens).
