Fix-A-Flat...

If you don't have Fix-A-Flat in your bag of tricks you will probably need to learn how to change your tire prior to the race!! You don't want to be stuck on the side of the road pulling different things off your bike or even walking the rest of the course to finish. The maintenance training will teach you how to inspect your bike before a ride, remove your wheel properly, change a flat tire, lube your bike, clean your bike, and the proper tools you will need to do so safely and easily.
Here are some free training classes you can go to:

Every Wednesday at 6pm they have bike maintenance and flat repair classes. Learn how to fix a flat tire and add life to your bike with simple maintenance and repairs. Please RSVP to Chuck if you plan on attending one of the classes. Classes fill up quickly so RSVP soon so you don't get left out!

They have a Women's Only Maintenance Class and regular Maintenance Classes, alternating every Thursday at 6pm-7pm at both locations (South Lamar and Research Blvd).
If you don't live here or somewhere crazy like Denver...just google bike maintenance classes and a few should come up. If not then I'm sure you can do it the week of...better late than never!
